According to the British media recently reported,the UK biggest electric vehicle charging service providers Chargemaster announced that all of their electricity will be provided by renewable energy in their charging network from August 1,2017.
The source of electricity required for electric car has been criticized,there is criticism that electricity is provided by nonrenewable source,which is a problem the zero emission electric car need to solve.
“Polar is the biggest public charging service management website in UK,the power provide for cars will replaced by renewable source,this is a good news to UK electric vehicle owners,which will reduce the overall emissions of electric vehicles,both power generation and car exhaust emissions will be benefit from it-to be more environmental friendly”,says Chargemaster CEO David martell,who is in charge of the project of Polar.
This move is corresponded with the policy that UK’s government required that fuel vehicles prohibited sales since 2040.”Do not using fuel vehicles and gasoline vehicles,it’s not only for our health,but also consider about automotive exhaust emissions will accelerate global climate change,do harm to global and next generation”,says Micheal Gove,the minister of the environment,when he accepted the BBC interview.
When facing a large number of electric vehicles on the road,there will be absolutely shortage in charging equipment in UK.The British government is considering increasing investment in charging network.British charging service providers Chargemaster,operating 5600 charging network,accounting for 40% of the UK,will increase 250 fast charging station in UK this year.
